How to Clean your Countertop

With these six steps, you can develop a routine that ensures your countertops remain free from debris, stains, and harmful bacteria!
  1. Start by wiping down the surface with a damp cloth to remove any dust or debris.
  2. Mix a mild detergent (such as dish soap) with warm water in a spray bottle. Spray the solution onto the countertop and use a clean, soft cloth to gently scrub the surface.
  3. Rinse the countertop with clean water and dry it with a clean, dry cloth.
  4. To disinfect the countertop, mix a solution of one part water to one part hydrogen peroxide in a spray bottle and spray it on the surface. Wipe it clean with a cloth and let it air dry.
  5. To remove any stains, use a mixture of baking soda and water to create a paste. Apply the paste to the stain, let it sit for a few minutes, and then gently scrub the area with a soft-bristled brush. Rinse the countertop with water and dry it with a clean cloth.
  6. To maintain the shine and luster of your granite countertop, apply a sealer every 6-12 months.

It’s important to avoid acidic or abrasive cleaners on your granite countertop as they may damage the surface.
